In order to maintain our position we must have new ideas

• Roger Deschenes believes we must improve our transit service. Not necessarily new subway lines at this time (too expensive). We must link with other GTA transit systems.
  
• Roger Deschenes believes we must plan for infrastructure improvements for the future.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must continue spending on the arts. 
• Roger Deschenes believes we must always try to make our city a better place to live for EVERYBODY.

• Roger Deschenes believes we must get city spending under control.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must find more efficient ways of doing business at city hall
• We must become more business friendly in Toronto. Many new businesses have decided to locate in Mississauga ,Vaughan or other cities instead of Toronto.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must actively promote Toronto around the globe as a great place to do business or take a vacation. We must make it so.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must always find ways to beautify Our City. More flowers. More trees. Cleaner.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must make Our City safe . Not by hiring more police officers, but by paeople respecting one another more. This will not be easy.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must have politicians who have the City`s interests at heart. The People.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must have politicians who work together for the greater good of all.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must have politicians who work quickly and make the right decisions.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must spend wisely.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must get our financial house in order.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must improve relations with Federal and Provincial governments. So we can have more equitable share of revenues.

We Must Have Openness at City Hall.

• Roger Deschenes believes we must be financially strong for if we are not , we will not be able to provide for our citizens . We will not be able to build a City of the future.
• Roger Deschenes believes we Must make the Right Choice in Leadership today because todays decisions will affect the lives of many in the future.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must instil pride in Toronto`s citizenry. Pride that they live in one of the best countries on the planet in one of the best cities on earth at one of the most interesting times in world history.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must understand that each of us has a responsibility to make Toronto a better place. When you litter the streets you are not making Toronto a better place. When you commit a crime..........Well you know
• Roger Deschenes believes we must make all newcomers feel welcome in Toronto.  Newcomers should adopt Toronto as their home and contribute to the city. This worked for Toronto in the past. Let`s make it work again.
• Roger Deschenes believes we must make our schools places for advanced learning. More computers for kids.
